A Rudraksha Mala is a sacred rosary made from the dried seeds of the Rudraksha tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus). According to Hindu mythology, Rudraksha beads were formed from the tears of Lord Shiva and are considered extremely powerful for spiritual growth, protection, and healing.

"Rudra" = Lord Shiva
"Aksha" = Eyes or Tears
So, Rudraksha = "Tears of Rudra (Shiva)"
